Full-Time Education
T Levels are a new qualification for students aged 16 to 19 and are an alternative to A levels or an Apprenticeship.
A T Level provides young people with technical and practical skills needed to be an asset in the workplace.
T Levels combine classroom learning with a substantial industry placement. There will be 1,800 hours of study over the two years’ and this will include a 45 day work placement.
Each T Level is equivalent to 3 A Levels and helps young people develop the knowledge, attitude and practical skills to thrive in the workplace.
T Levels include compulsory elements:
- A technical qualification which includes core skills, theory and concepts for industry area
- Specialist occupational skills and knowledge of the career
- An industry placement with an employer
- A minimum standard in Maths and English, if students haven’t already achieved this
