Prepare inventory of consumables for service, maintenance and repair operations
Prepare work areas in readiness to conduct service and maintenance operations
Prepare land-based machinery and prime movers for service and maintenance operations
Carry out scheduled and predictive service operations on land-based machinery, equipment and prime movers
Maintain land-based machinery, equipment and prime movers
Reinstate the work area after service and maintenance operations stowing equipment and disposing / recycling waste products and materials
Assemble new machinery for sale
Conduct pre-delivery inspections following company procedures
Prepare used land-based machinery and equipment for re-sale

Conduct technical consultations
Gather intelligence on the malfunction, breakdown and performance of land-based machinery
Undertake field operational testing of land-based machinery, equipment and prime movers
Select and apply appropriate diagnostic processes
Examine failed parts and gathered information to establish the root cause of the failure
Formulate a conclusion and plan of action considering, the repair options
Compile detailed technical reports and communicate with all levels of stakeholders
Carry out repairs to complex land-based machinery, equipment and prime movers
Conduct complex electrical and electronic system repairs
Conduct complex repairs to hydraulic, pneumatic, hydrostatic and fluid powered systems
Implement a schedule of repair operations for others to follow. Supervise and mentor colleagues
Install, demonstrate and handover land-based engineering machinery and equipment
Set land-based machinery, equipment and prime movers to achieve optimal performance.
